The Phytase Assay Kit (K-PHYTASE) method is a simple, quantitative method which can be used to measure phytase activity.

The Megazyme method has significant advantages over other phytic acid tests that are currently on the market.

A modification of AOAC Method 996.11 AACC Method 76-13.01 RACI Standard Method for the measurement and analysis of total starch in cereal flours and food products. β-Glucan (Yeast & Mushroom) Assay Kit is suitable for the measurement and analysis of 1,3:1,6-β-glucan and α-glucan in yeast and mushroom  preparations.

New, improved procedure.

Several acid and enzyme-based methods for the hydrolysis of β-glucan were compared and the best option was the method using H2SO4. For most samples, similar β-glucan values were obtained with both the optimized HCl and H2SO4 procedures. However, in the case of certain samples, specifically Ganoderma lucidum and Poria cocus, the H2SO4 procedure resulted in significantly higher values.

The Available Carbohydrates Assay Kit method is suitable for the determination of available carbohydrates (AVCHO) comprising *total digestible starch (TDS) plus maltodextrins, sucrose, D-glucose, D-fructose and lactose. New Improved method receiving ‘First Action’ status: AOAC 2020.07. This method is designed to simulate in vivo conditions in the human small intestine (i.e. a 4 h incubation time with PAA + AMG) in parallel with recent advances in Dietary Fiber (DF) methodology (K-RINTDF: AOAC Method 2017.16) and in accordance with the new (physiological based) definition of DF announced by Codex Alimentarius in 2009. Also, sucrose is hydrolysed with a specific “sucrase” enzyme which (unlike invertase which has been used traditionally for this reaction) has no action on fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS).

* Total digestible starch (TDS) is defined as starch that is digested in a 4 h period and is part of the carbohydrate that is available for digestion and absorption in the human small intestine.

说明:CellG5检测试剂盒用于检测纤维素内切酶(1,4 -β-葡聚糖内切酶)包含两种组分:1) 4,6-O-(3-Ketobutylidene)-4-nitrophenyl-β-D-cellopentaoside (BPNPG5) 和 2)热稳定的β-葡萄糖苷酶。 酮阻断基团可阻止β-葡萄糖苷酶对BPNPG5的水解。通过纤维素内切酶的培养可生成非阻断的显色寡糖,被β-葡萄糖苷酶迅速水解。产生4-硝基苯酚的速率与β-葡萄糖苷酶水解BPNPG5直接相关。加入Tris缓冲液(pH 9.0)后可终止反应,并形成苯酚显色产物。
